Show Notes

The great singers, musicians, and songwriters are the ones responsible for this music, of course. But we also need music writers, mentors and friends to help us find the gems that would otherwise get ignored or forgotten. If you're interested in digging deeper into the music I play, I encourage you to check out the following links.

For this week's show, I discovered the opening Old 97's song from a post on Marc Fagel's music blog and The Apples in Stereo's track from a top 10 list he did for Toppermost.

Eliza Shaddad's song appeared on a recent Music Savage show, hosted by Ryan Doyon.

I never heard of Ocean Colour Scene before until Jim Doherty played them on a recent show of his.

Steve Crawford picked "Wabash Cannonball" as one of the 1001 Greatest Songs of the 20th Century.

Which reminds me ...

Correction: I said "Ray Acuff" instead of "Roy Acuff" when I was running through what I played at the beginning of the second hour of the show. That was definitely a mistake.
