Show Notes

Elizabeth Nelson's review of Squeezing Out Sparks was a recent Sunday Review for Pitchfork

Justin Steiner tipped me off to the songs by Death Cab for Cutie and Andrew Bird.

I discovered the Amanda Shires and Scoopski songs from a recent show by DJ Calc, aka Jim Doherty.

Marc Fagel has started a series on his favorite songs of all time on his Jittery White Guy blog, which inspired the inclusion of "So. Central Rain" and "St. Elmo's Fire" this week.

I heard the Breanna Barbara song on a recent episode of The Music Savage Show.

Scott Hudson played Nick Piunti's cover of "The Seeker" on his most recent New Releases show.

I was introduced to "Cripple Creek" when I heard it on one of the season two episodes of the excellent FX series Reservation Dogs.

Good news! We have a few new volunteers at the community radio station I volunteer at and some of them might be taking on some of the weekly tasks I've been doing for the past couple of years. Which means I might have more time to keep this blog updated and to promote my show more than I've been doing.
